ABS battery drain.Help!

I found my battery dead one morning after the car had been sitting a few days. After running various tests to isolate the problem I noticed that the ABS pump solenoid was closed even with the ignition turned off. I tested the ABS by pumping down the accumulator,turning the ignition on and listening while the pump ran until the accumulator recharged and the solenoid clicked open. Everything normal so far. I turned off the ignition and after a few minutes heard the ABS solenoid click closed again (without starting the pump), and stay closed until I thought it prudent to pull the pump fuse and post this plea for help. This appears to be the source of the battery drain but I don't know what to check next. Any help greatly appreciated.
