A generator, Home Depot and a 9000

So I clear the 10" of fresh pow off the driveway and head to Home Depot to get a generator. Scored a nice 5700/7125 watt unit with a Yamaha engine.
The HD wheels it out the door on a cart while I go to get the car. I pull up to the door and pop the hatch. The guy is amazed! "What kind of car is this?" he says. "I saw you pull up and I thought, 'Oh no, another car to fit a generator into.' But this is great!"
So we hoist the box, about 2x2x3 and 200 pounds, close the hatch and off I go. I happened to have the back seat down, but it could have fit OK with it up. These are such great cars!
I just don't get why so many people in the US don't like hatchback sedans.
