OK, must be the Loctite on the splines that is holding it in, never had this difficutly on the earlier models. I Got one to move, not quite out yet, other I have put nut on and still doesn't budge!
I don't believe I can leave axles in situ, because (1) both outer boots are torn, and since I am replacing Autobox with Manual, (2) driver side axle needs to be longer??
