Hello everyone,

I'll admit I haven't searched the board too much on this, but i have a sort of specific question i think...

My 1990 9kt had the nivomat suspension which I replaced entirely with bilstein HD's all around, and what i believe were probably swedish dynamics red springs.

I don't know for sure what springs there were, other than they were RED and cost over $350.

Over 8 years of owning them, loading the car down with weight, and driving like a maniac, these springs started to look saggy, whatever they were.

I got rid of the 1990 and put the springs on my 1988 9kt with airflow and now... they're still saggy, so much so that with only me in the car and some light weight items in my trunk, STOCK AERO wheels with 205/50/16 tires will RUB when going over small bumps and accelerating

This is just unacceptable to me

I bought a set of never used KILEN springs from ebay, and the supplier said they'd fit 1985-1998, however, once i got them i found the box said they were for 1992 and up

I did some research on them, and found out they made 2 sets of springs which each lower 25mm

One for 1985-1991

and one for 1992-1998

Since he sent me the later model type springs, he said they would work, and looking around i see that they will probably fit...

but... what should i expect from thesE?

were later model cars heavier? so these springs might have stiffer rates?

i shouldn't expect a full 25mm drop now?

I'm totally hoping to raise the car up from where it is now, and never have to worry about weight, and bottoming out on bumps again... ever...

so i think i'm going to give them a try.

but is there anything i should be made aware of about doing this... will this raise the front of my car for example.

thanks

-gavin
