This morning I had heavy vibrations in the steering. It felt similar to when I once had a bad tripod inner driver) bearing. It felt like I was loosing traction when road was slippery. Car pulled hard to right when I took hands off sterring wheel, which quickly turned 60 degrees to right.
It did this off an on for 15 miles. Then it felt like the wheel was going to fall off. I turned into the parking lot at work. I heard some heavy clicking/ grinding at the front right wheel. Then suddenly the car stopped moving. Engine running, transmission shifted, no forward or reverse.

I installed a reman axle from eeuro on right side 18 months ago and on left side 6 months ago. Could the CV joint suddenly fail like this and cause the car not to move? All rubber boots are intact. Or could it be the tripod bearing/ inner driver? I will examine it first thing in the AM.

Hopefully the transmission is not the problem. Shifted fine, no noise. No indications of problem until today.
