Cruise Control Info
At speeds above 25 mph the cruise control will function.
Turn on the cruise control accelerate to the speed you want and press the set button. You will see a cruise control indicator go on on the lower right corner of the instrument cluster, as long as the on/off switch is in the "on" position
The "tip" is the interrupt/coast function on the stalk switch. When you depress the switch it will suspend the cruise control operation until the "Resume" button is pressed. The car will just coast like the accelerator pedal is not depressed. This does the same thing as the clutch or brake pedal interrupt switches when either pedal is depressed with the cruise control set.
If your '94 is a Non-TCS 9000 and you can't get the cruise control to work let me know. I have the info to correct this.
An easy way to tell if your car has TCS or not is to look in the engine compartment. If you see 2 vacuum valves - one on the left front inner fender in front of the battery and one on the false bulkhead behind the engine, and if the top of the throttle body has an black oval shaped cover with a vacuum line coming out of it you have TCS.
For the wood trim dash, you are better off trying to find a used Saab Factory part as to the "sticker" kit ones. Best place to look for them is the junkyards. A wood dash from any 1992 to 1998 9000 will work. Don't get one from a 9000 before the 1992 model year, as it won't have a hole in the dash for the hazard light switch.
You are stuck with leaving the power on and radio on for at least the 90 minutes until the radio says CODE again. Then you can enter the correct code. After 3 incorrect attempts to enter the code it will lock out and just beep.
