It would take a lot of counting

It would take me a long time to exhaust the list of reasons why, for me at least, the 9000 is the best all round car ever built. I am not aware of anything else that blends performance, utility, safety, durability and value so comprehensively; I am not very hopeful that anything quite like it will ever be built again, so I'm planning to drive mine for as long as possible. Sure, there are days when the cosseting experience of a 9-5 would be nice, as would having an automatic that can handle the gobs of torque that a SAAB turbo can produce, but if I had to drive one car every day for the rest of my life, it would be a 9000. Of course it's not perfect; I wish the key were on the console, I wish it had IRS, I wish the stock brakes were better, I wish it had less wind noise than mine has now... I'm resigned to living with the key where it is, real world handling is perfectly adequate, I've gotten over the pain of fitting larger front calipers, and maybe one day I will replace the weatherstripping/seals and have less wind noise again. Hopefully before long I will have space to store multiple parts cars so I can keep 9000-ing for another decade or two.
