This is one reason why I don't use a K&N filter. The other is that despite their claims, they really don't increase power significantly, if at all, and don't do as good a job at FILTERING (Oh, is that what filters do?) as paper. You might be able to clean off the AMM with some electronic parts spray cleaner - look for CRC brand available at Home Depot, Lowe's, etc. - don't use the Radio Shack stuff with oil in it!
Your "mixture too lean" code could be due to the AMM or a vacuum hose leak; not sure where your coolant is disappearing.
