Trying to picture it in my head, but can you access the other side of where that bolt threads into? If so, drill the threads completely out, and use a nut & bolt with washers instead.
If you cannot access the other side, a second option may be to aquire the correct size drill, and tap for the next larger size SAE bolt (drills and taps seem easier to find in SAE than metric).
If THAT isn't an option, and if it were my car, I would probably do something like drill out the entire threaded area where the bolt used to go through, take a dremel tool and kind of grind away material until I had a hex-shaped opening. Then I'd thread a nut onto a bolt a few turns, hold the nut into that newly-created hex-shaped opening, and weld it in place.
I personally don't think that there is THAT much force on the sway bar mounts. I wouldn't rely on JB weld to fix the situation, but I don't think it requires excessive bracing either.
Be creative. Look at it and say "how do I get that area threaded again?" and see what you come up with.
Good luck, and keep us posted!!!
