So yes... 1995 for those who didn't see the apostrophe :) I can't understand what's going on here. Everything seems to work fine backwards. I do understand how it's supposed to work (and feel) as I have a '91 with the same valve. I don't however understand the fine details of what happens during a boost up. Anyone have that information handy? I can get correct base boost when I disconnect the connector, apply the brakes, etc... but only if the top connection marked "C" is hooked up to the intake and the bottom connection marked "R" is hooked up to the turbo housing.
What's the brass restrictor in the "C" branch for? My only guess right now without a mightyvac is that there's a small tear in the wastegate diaphragm and the unrestricted "R" branch provides more flow to open the valve. Does that even make sense? I won't be offended if not... after all it's a guess.
