We have these roundabout things at junctions, a circle in the middle which can be quite small - almost notional - or pretty big. Well, my preferred technique for roundabouts when in need of a little amusement is to arrive at them a little too fast, kind of heave into them, then mash down the right-hand pedal and power out of them. All good clean fun assuming there is no-one in the way.
The other night I took back the 9-5 2-litre I'd been given as a loan vehicle while my head gasket was being fixed. I'd just checked and adjusted all the tyre pressures, by the way. So I took on a roundabout in the fashion described above. Result - heading for the boondocks with massive understeer accompanied by the kind of tyre squeal not heard since they filmed "Bullitt".
On the way back in the 9kt, same roundabout, same technique - result, controlled nirvana. I was back in a real Saab.
