I just had to do this a couple of weeks ago too, due to the line blowing out on the end where it connects to the metal line to the slave cylinder.

I got tired of fighting the metal clutch line angle where it connects to the master cylinder to get the flare nut to thread properly into the master cylinder.

I unbolted the master cylinder from it's mount and removed the clevis pin on the clutch pedal.

It allowed me to properly get the flare nut to thread right and the end of the clutch line to seat properly. I did not tighten the flare nut all the way down on the master cylinder

Then I reinstalled the master cylinder back in place and then tightened the flare nut down all the way.
