Thanks for the help on this. I can post a picture, but I'm not sure how to do it. I understand all the shafts that you speak of. I used the diagram from the Quasi site to do the procedure. My exhaust-side balance sprocket has no teeth on it at all. It's perfectly smooth on the inside and it's so smooth that it doesn't look like it ever had teeth on it. That's where I was getting confused. Then when I looked on eEuroparts website, the picture of that sprocket looks like the teeth aren't as defined as the other pictures. I've got a new gear on order and will install it when it gets here.
I see the marks on the shafts that must be aligned with the block when the engine is in TDC. Do you have any tips for holding the exhaust-side balance shaft sprocket to tighten the bolt (when my new sprocket/gear comes in)?
Tell me how to upload a picture and I'll post one of that gear.
