Getting ready to take my '94 CSE in for the third time for a continuing clutch problem. First, in about late December, 2007, the clutch pedal dropped to the floor. Because of a lack of fun tickets, I parked it until about two months ago, and when it went in to the shop, it seemed to have fixed itself.

Drove it for a month or so, until the day I let the clutch out, and heard a gear ripping snap, and no go. Took it back in to Eurauto in Cincinnati, and they installed a clutch kit and slave. Then got a call from them that the shaft on the transaxle went out. They swapped out a used transmission, and when I went to pick it up, the clutch felt anemic, then quickly started hanging up and slow off of floor.

I brought it back in, and was told that nothing was found wrong, and that the master cylinder was okay. I told themn to replace it anyway. Picked it up, and barely made it home, so returned it. Advised them that I had read here that there was a problem with a batch of slaves having the wrong grease, and/or the problem could be the line from the master to the slave.

They put in a new hose, and another slave. Clutch felt great for a few days, but has slowly started to feel heavy, and slow on the return, and this evening, it's back to hanging on the floor for almost a second or sp before it comes back up.

Any suggestions as to what else could be going on with this? What pressurizes the system? I ask this question, knowing that the system is shared with the brakes; however, on my '88, when the ABS pump went out, it had no effect on the operation of the clutch.
