I would check the actual schedule, which is a little harder to find but on the airline's site somewhere, to see if the flight still exists. If it does, then insist you stay one it. If they did cancel the flight, which is a very real possibility these days, then you should be able to get them to put you on pretty much any alternative flight with space that they run without much hassle. It will be much harder to get them to move you to another carrier that had more convenient flight, but possible depending on the extent of the change. Unfortunatly, if the flight was canceled there may just not be many better options, but you will have some fleixiblity within the same carrier and perhaps the possibility of a carrier switch if the change is significant one, without fees. You should also be able to cancel for a full refund. Unfortunatly, all of this is worded very vaguely in your 'contract' with the airline, so their tends not to be any hard and fast rules and it's a bit of a crap shoot, bu the airline will typically work with you if you are patient.
