I've been in those things multiple times and have not been able to figure out how to fix the problem of a CD not being ejected. In my experience, after you pull the stuck CD out, once you apply power again, it will pull in another CD. The failure is with the eject mechanism. I concluded that the problem is electronic, not mechanical. I believe I replaced the front panel on one thinking the problem might be with the eject button itself, but that didn't fix the problem.
If you find a solution, please post it as I still have one on the shelf. I have working units in both 9000s now, but one has issues with the LCD display.
