2. - I turned my engine over by hand until the odd colored chain links lined up on the cam gears. It took a while, but eventually I got back to the factory alignment. Nail polish should work otherwise.
4. - My machine guy didn't know, but used his experience from other heads of similar heads for the tolerance.
5. - Lapping the valves is a term used to reseat the valves into the head. I did this myself with some lapping paste. Your exhaust valves have a coating on them. Do not remove this coating, it's not buildup.
7. - Anaerobic sealant will only go on a small portion, but NOT on the head gasket. Both surfaces just need to be clean and dry. Use some brake cleaner to clean off the oil from the machine shop and I use some very fine sandpaper to clean the last bits of leftover old gasket off of the top of the block.
9. - I used regular sealant on the intake gasket. I didn't use any on the exhaust.
9. - I used anaerobic sealant on the valve cover gasket just because there was some left in the tube.
