I reflowed the central locking module about 25,000 miles ago, and that did not help (but I might try it again, or buy a used one, in case I missed a crack). It makes no difference whether I turn the key in the drivers door, press the main button or the button on the key fob - the 4 doors will only lock/unlock about 30-70% of the time.
I am just wondering if one or two of the door lock linkages being stiffer (do to poor lubrication and cold temps) than the others can effect the locking/unlocking of the others. For example, I would gladly sacrifice the power locking function of my two rear doors to gain a 100% function in my front doors.
Erik, I'll take your advice that they act indepedently.
