Until a few days ago - it was so cold in MN that your AC probably wouldn't have run anyhow. It was also cold enough that all the snow you tracked in to the car didn't melt. My car had ice all over underneath.
Today, when it was 30 and sunny in my neighborhood - if you're in recirc mode - you'd want the AC on to help dry the air from inside the car out once the car warmed up.
If you weren't in recirc - the outside air is still not carrying that much h20, though quite a bit more than at 0 or below. AC won't have all that much to remove, though.
If your heater core starts to go, it'll leave a greasy feel on the windows.
