Torn outer CV Boot - what should be replaced next?

Had the car up on ramps last week and noticed that the boot tore right next to the clamps. I got as much new grease into it and zip tied things back as a band aid.
There appears to be a few alternatives out there including a EMPI assembly (I think mixed reviews based on this and a few other boards) or simply getting the OEM CV and new boot, and probably a new wheel bearing while at it. I have access to some decent tools and lift.
What's the general consensus on best way to approach the impending repair?
Thanks,
Ben
