Here is what I have been able to put together in the absence of actually having a ISAT to work with.

ABS Troubleshooting with ISAT
_____________________________


1. To communicate with the ABS System, the ISAT must be connected to the GREEN plug under the passenger's seat.

2. During ISAT testing the ignition key must be in the RUN position.

3. Press ON/ENTER.
The display should now read:

DIAG LANG MEAS OFF

4. TO begin the DIAGnostic procedure press F1
The display should now read:

DIAGNOSIS
9000 - 94
9000 - 95
900 - 93
900 - 94

5. Highlight the vehicle you are working on, i.e. "9000 93".
To scroll UP, press F4.
To scroll DOWN, press F3.

6. Press ON/ENTER to confirm highlighted selection.
The display should now read:

9000 93
All Systems
One System
Show Fault Code

7. Scroll to "One System".

8. Press ON/ENTER to confirm highlighted selection.
The display should now read:

One System
ACC
AIRBAG
EDU

9. Scroll to "ABS/TC".

10. Press ON/ENTER to confirm highlighted selection.
The display should now read:

ABS/TC
No. of Faults: 2



OR

ABS/TC
No Faults Detected

ALL ONE DISPLAY RES


If you cannot make contact with "ABS/TC",
Check the diagnostic socket connections.
Check TC/ABS system fuses.

11. Press ECS to enter a Command Code.
The display should now read:

ABS/TC

CODE TERMINATE


12. Press F1 to access the Command Code screen
The display should now read:

ABS/TC
Enter Code _ _ _

A B C D

13. Press "2 0 0" to Enter Command Code 200.
(Testing the Pressure Microswitch On TC Block, Manual only)
The display should now read:
(brakes not applied)
8B100

OR
(brakes applied)
8B000


14. Enter Command Code 900 - Clear All Fault Codes.

15. Enter Command Code 800 - Terminate Communications.

ETS PRE-CALIBRATION CHECKS with ISAT
_____________________________________


1. To communicate with the ETS System, the ISAT must be connected to the BLACK plug under the passenger's seat.
In addition, the CAPACITOR, (SAAB P/N 86-11-046) must be fitted between the ISAT and the BLACK diagnostic socket.

2. Turn the ignition key to RUN, engine off.

3. Press ON/ENTER.
The display should now read:

DIAG LANG MEAS OFF

4. Press F1 to begin DIAG.
The display should now read:

DIAGNOSIS
9000 - 94
9000 - 95
900 - 93
900 - 94

5. Highlight the vehicle you are working on, (i.e. "9000 93").
To scroll UP, press F4.
To scroll DOWN, press F3.

6. Press ON/ENTER to confirm highlighted selection.
The display should now read:

9000 93
All Systems
One System
Show Fault Code

7. Scroll to highlight "One System".
ETS interacts with ABS, TRIONIC, and DI/APC.
Highlight "All Systems" to check for additional Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
NOTE: ABS codes can be accessed from the GREEN diagnostic socket.

8. Press ON/ENTER to confirm highlighted selection.
The display should now read:

One System
ACC
AIRBAG
EDU

9. Scroll to highlight "ETS", system #3.

10. Press ON/ENTER to confirm highlighted selection.
The display should now read:

El. Throttle
No. of Faults: 4
Fault #1 24260
Fault #2 24020
Fault #3 33450
Fault #4 35780


OR

El. Throttle
No Faults Detected

ALL ONE DISPLAY RES


11. Record all ETS fault codes.
If you cannot make contact with "ETS",
Check the BLACK diagnostic socket connections.
Check ETS system fuses.

12. Press ECS to enter a Command Code.
The display should now read:

El. Throttle

CODE TERMINATE


13. Press F1 to access the Command Code screen
The display should now read:

El. Throttle
Enter Code _ _ _

A B C D


14. Enter Command Code 380 to read ETS EPROM Serial Number

15. Enter Command Code 382 to read ETS ECU Part Number.

16. Enter Command Code 383 to read ETS ECU Serial Number.

17. Enter COmmand Code 975 to read ETS ECU Engine Variant.

18. Enter Command Code 900 to Clear All Fault Codes.

ETS CALIBRATION with ISAT, Manual Transmission
______________________________________________


1. Start the engine.

2. Bring engine to normal operating temperature, (radiator fan cycles).
If the engine won't idle correctly, perform steps 3. through 10. and enter Command Code No. 974 BASIC DATA, prior to
repeating Step 1.

3. Turn the ignition key OFF.

4, Connect Capacitor (Adapter Lead 86 11 048) between ISAT and the 347 BLACK socket under the front passenger seat.

5. Turn the ignition key to RUN, engine off.

6. Select DIAG "One System" on the ISAT menu.

7. Enter system No. 3, ETS.

8. Check for fault codes stored in ETS.
If fault codes are present, perform diagnosis.

9. Press ECS to enter a Command Code.
The display should now read:

El. Throttle

CODE TERMINATE

10. Press F1 to access the Command Code screen
The display should now read:

El. Throttle
Enter Code _ _ _

A B C D

11. Enter Command Code No. 900 to Clear All Fault Codes before continuing.

12. Repeat steps 9. and 10, then Enter Command Code No. 971, BASE-LINE SETTING.
(While processing,
The display should now read:

El. Throttle (971)
8A971

After several seconds,
The display should now read:

El. Throttle (971)
8D971

The ETS system is ready for calibration.
IF ISAT doesn't display 8D971 you will have to return to step 1.

13.) Repeat steps 9. and 10, then Enter Command Code No. 973, CALIBRATION.

14.) Wait for "TCS CTRL" to illuminate.
(This indicates CALIBRATION is ready to proceed.)

15.) START the engine. Do NOT touch any controls.
(Initially idle will labor around 400 RPM, then climb to 3000 RPM before stabilizing at 850 RPM.
The display should now read:

El. Throttle (973)
8A973

16.) Wait for "TCS CTRL" to extinguish.
(This indicates CALIBRATION is complete.)

17.) Enter Command Code 800 to Terminate communications.

18.) Turn the ignition key to OFF.

19.) Repeat steps 5. through 8.
