I don't know if you should buy the 900 convertible, but probably the general condition of the car should tell you a lot, as will if it has maintenance records or not. There are plenty of good '95 SAABs around, and plenty of not good ones, so you can afford to wait for a good one. Have you tried diagnosing what's wrong with your 9000s? Will not start can be very inexpensive to remedy... As for what's compatible between the two cars, not much. All I can think of right now are the DI cassettes, the "hooter" valve on the intake, the BPC solenoid from your 9000 Turbo, and the gear shift knob, if the 9000 and 900 are both 5-speed. Maybe the hood badge too, but not much else. Brakes, wheels and seats are definitely not. 9000 wheels are 4-lug and '95 900 are 5-lug. The seats are different, and, convertibles will require folding front seats for rear access anyway, something you just won't have on any 9000. The turbo is, I believe, interchangeable, but will need some modification, because it's oriented differently in both cars.
