Hi, I've just come over from the NG 900 group. I now have a '95 9000 CS LPT (with only 75K mi!). Wow! Can't believe it took me so long to see the light! :)

So, the temp gauge is intermittent. I understand it could be the gauge or the sending unit. Car seems to run okay no matter what. However the puzzle at hand is the fuel gauge.

Gauge read 1/4 tank when I bought the car, then it ran down until the light came on, so I filled it up. However, it only took 9.5 gallons. Assumed it was the gas pump and went on my way. Gauge read 3/4 tank, and that fit with the amount of fuel I bought.

Well, the light came on again so I filled it up yesterday at a different gas station and got the same behavior. I know the tank should hold 17 gal or so. Something similar went on with my '97 900, so when I got a new fuel pump, I learned that the car would go another 100 mi. per tank.

Here's the question: Since the temp gauge AND the fuel gauge are behaving strangely, could this be a gauge problem? Seems more likely that it's two sending unit problems, but it's tempting to look at the instrument cluster first.
