Oh, right. The 9000 might have kept the TDC mark at flywheel and bell housing due to that the belt tensioner cover that area that is otherwise free on the NG900/9-3 and 9-5 models using pretty much the same engine block.
Look for a little opening at bell housing or a black plastic cover and see if the TDC marks are there.
It is few and far between I see any 94 and up 9000 and I don't know if I have done any head gasket on one. They seem to hold up very well.
