I guess it would help to know what's been done already..
I'll assume you don't ignore your belt pulleys and tensioner. As far as the timing chain goes, I'd play it by how far the tensioner is extended (if you have no wear, don't worry about it). Anything rubber that hasn't been done in the last decade: water hoses, motor mounts, etc. Maybe worth inspecting the harmonic balancer. It wouldn't be out-of-line to replace all the exhaust studs. I wouldn't touch the head or bottom end otherwise, unless you have specific issues. I guess one could do the crank and oil pump seals and stuff like that, but I personally wouldn't bother if they don't leak.
