I have the Haynes manual and occasionally find it useful, although it is saabnet and the other resources mentioned by Bill Homer that make owning a 9000 a lot easier.
I work on my '96 CS and my son's '98 S70. The 9000 is far more DIY friendly. The S70 developed a breathing problem last year that required removing the intake manifold to get access to the PCV system - a really brain dead design IMHO. I Fixed the breathing problem, but not before it compromised the rear main seal. So now the nasty Volvo drips oil on my driveway. To get access to the rear main seal you have to lower the engine and remove the transmission, or pay someone close to $1000 to do the job.
The last thing you need is a geriatric Volvo. Enjoy your 9k.
