Starter, battery, battery cables, crank sensor, fuel pump check valve, worn spark plugs are a few possible scenarios.
Is your shop good at fault tracing or do they change parts they "feel" could be the problem.
Your T5 injection car does not have automatic fuel prime function as the T7 fuel injection cars have with every ignition on sequence. It might prime one time in the morning but not again and again.
Hooking up a fuel pressure gauge and check the rise of fuel pressure in the morning would be one of the first steps to take.
