usually from a 'Geriatric' belt and a failure to replace the thing as a maintenance item. Buy a fresh one and examine then replace the idler pulleys and tensioner as required by their condition.
Not too complex a job, but Not a 'first time' DIY adventure..there's history of induced problems by first timers.
Suggest a Competent Saab shop if wanting a no headache solution.
