I haven't seen a check valve during any of the 4 MC replacements I've done. I've been thinking of adding one, though, as the MC is definitely pushing a little bit of fluid into the reservoir before it engages.
The slave is about 9 months old, and this model doesn't come with bellows. Odd, I know. The slave and bearing are completely exposed through the inspection hole; a dust cover seems like a necessity. I thought it was a shipping error, so I called eeuro and apparently there's no such cover for the 90-93 slave. Genuine part.
Before I did the trans, I remember looking into the inspection hole and seeing the bearing spinning around in time with the pressure plate. now it rotates a little, but with the engine running I was able to read the part information on the bearing housing as it lazily made contact with the PP and moved a few degrees. The pressure plate is solidly attached, and I remember torquing the bolts during installation. I did a thorough inspection of the PP before reinstalling it and the fingers were all fine.
