Alacantra was pricey last time I looked, at least if not more pricey than leather.
Surely a decent trim shop could redo your driver's seat into at least a mid life wear condition for an 'affordable sum?
m5_saabcentre (ebay uk) has a Very Nice set of Beige/2 tone leather (with embossed logo)OEM seats from a 98 CSE. For: Get this! 95 GBP's complete front/ rear set. Shipping would be ludicrous, too bad though.
Makes one wonder why wreckers 'over here' charge large.
Seats and their appearance are important considerations, especially so when our cars have so little visible deterioration elsewhere.. Maybe spending 'largish' might not be so bad if you are going to keep the car a while.
Oddly, I was peering at my driver's seat with evil intent as well yesterday.
I's still OK, but a 'new' one would be nice.
