I just did this job a few days back on my 97 Aero. I used silicone all the way to the Y (which is fairly obvious when you look into the engine bay, just trace it from the blow off valve).
Mine came off inside of the aquarium causing the boost gauge to not function, as well as essentially a vacuum leak. You really need a small mirror to see where it connects inside of the aquarium. So it's the segment that runs from the Y into the aquarium that I replaced with silicone as well, and all was then well.
