Thanks everyone for your input. I sprayed starter fluid thru the throttle plate and got the car to crank and run for just a second or two - so getting spark. In the end, I pulled the pump and sure enough the one end of the rubber hose (supplied with the pump replacement kit) had slid off the plastic T. I had snipped the old plastic line off at the end of the T instead of cutting it completely off and exposing the T barbs. The rubber hose just never really held on even though the clamp was tightened. I was really worried at the time that I would break that T trying to cut that hard plastic hose off of it - so I just put the hose over it a bit. Lesson learned for sure. I carefully used a razor blade and removed the rest of the old hose and put everything back together. Car cranked right back up! Interesting that the pump would run/buzz in the ON position but not when jumping the fuses. Everything works now as it should. Anyone have any no start questions I would be happy to help since I pretty much went thru every procedure on the boards.
