Good tips Dana.
I just did the alternator on my Aero on Sunday and the fuel pump shot craps 60 miles from home on Tuesday. It died at work and I was waiting for another guy to finish up so I could catch a ride most of the way home and had time to troubleshoot using Ari's no-start checklist. Hot wired the pump lead and no dice. Car would start with carb cleaner so DI, CPS, etc were OK. I went back tonight so I could call AAA to tow it home and just for giggles I got in an turned the key.....fired right up. Must be a dead spot in the pump so it's getting changed. I have (3) used fuel pump assemblies so I may get the Walbro pump and put a good assembly together and drop it in.
