Many quality issues with rebuilt calipers are more easily detected and solved if you check the calipers before installing them.
Loosen and tighten the bleed screw.
Remove the 14 mm plug that covers the piston adjusting mechanism. With a 4 mm allen wrench verify that the mechanism will adjust the piston both in and out.
Tighten the 14 mm plug. The plug should tighten snugly, not spin like it is stripped.
Operate the e-brake mechanism by hand and verify that it will spring completely back every time. Lubricate it if it's operation is stiff.
If the new slide pins are chrome plated steel then they're inferior to the original stainless steel slide pins.
Parts you may want to keep from the original ATE caliper are the stainless slide pins (definitely keep them!), retaining spring and 14 mm plug.
