.....look at the stock gauge to determine if the boost level is ok or not.
As some people correctly has pointed out your gauge can be almost anywhere at a specific boost level.
You must use a graded boost gauge to determine if boost is ok or not. There is no other way.
Boost levels in the red area need not indicate a problem. The boost gauge may be showing incorrect levels (In Karls car, 1.1 bar was at the end of red, and there was at that time nothing wrong with his car). In stock config, my car was showing steady boost levels in solid red. Nothing wrong there either, but in my car it was not a gauge problem. It seems to boost an extra 0.1 bar or so even with stock software.
I would guess that you are only running base boost due to a faulty APC/BPC valve.
