good to hear that it's all fixed. Is your upgraded APC self-tweaked? If so,,,with the stock FPR and high octane, you might be able to peak it around 15-16psi which is a little (maybe a 1/4) into the red. The boost will taper down pretty quick unless you licked that function in the APC bo (R-42 I think) when you modified it.
High octane gas would definately be a good thing in your case,, you may be able to hold the boost up there longer and you'll have lower CC temps which means more power (ie no boost flutter). The fuel maps are pretty lean in stock form in these cars, and tweaking the APC without upgrading the FPR makes that worse. High octane is good, and a higher pressure FPR is a must.
As a example of supplimenting APC mods with fuel,,,,,,for 86-89 9KTs boosting 20psi or more, it is always recommended that one uses larger injectors, and a -Rise in Rate FPR- (or a 3.3bar regulator, but there goes your gas mileage;). A ECU fuel chip helps as well. Bigger turbo/high psi, even bigger injectors etc etc etc.....
