Ron, it is very easy . If you have a cd , you should have tools to remove that. Basically, it is a set of 2 u shaped prods that go into the holes at the top and bottom on each side of the cd player. Bend them open, so you can use only 1 of the ends, since the radio only has 1 hole on each side. Once you slide those prods in, they relase a catch on the top of the radio head that allows you to slide it out, revealing the plug sets. If you don't have the tool, look for a fellow owner, or I suppose you could fabricate out of coat hanger, but that would not have the "special" looking end that the tool has. Still worth a try. SAAB probably sells the tool for several $$, but then you will have to bend it in half!! Why they don't make a specific one (or supply it !) is beyond me. Do't cut the tool in half though, just bend it. - good luck- tom s
