I'm new to this board and this is my first post. I've problem with the transmission . My car is 9000CDE ' 93 177 k miles. I will describe you my problems.

Every morning, after first start , the Trans shifts very well & smooth . The up shifting speed for normally pushing the gas pedal is about 20 : 45 : 65 km/h for
1 to 2 : 2 to 3 : 3 to 4 ; but , after a while when the engine temperature engages still condition. (80-90 centigrade) The up shift speed is increased especially for 3 to 4, some time go up to 90-100 km / h (depend on how hard the traffic is) . For Ex , If I were driving in congested condition , after break througth traffic, some time shifting for 3 to 4 goes up to 100-110 km /h. But it 's OK if I drive at highway speed for all long time. This is the first item.

For second item , when the engine is on operating temp. Whenever I floor gas padel , the Trans will kick down to the lowest gear (for ex , If I run at 100 km/h / 4th / 2500 rpm , after floor the gas ,Trans will actually kick down to 2th / 5500 rpm near the red-line of Engines'Rev Range). After that , if I don't release the pedal , the Rev. will kick the engine cut-off Rev. (about 6000 rpm) without shifting the gear up to 3th or 4th.

For last Item but very serious, One day about 6 months ago, I drove it on a Country Freeway at speed about 200 km/h / 4th / 5000 rpm. After floor the gas pedal again to try the top speed , the Trans suddenly Kicked to 3rd / 8000 rpm !!!!! . After that scheme , I ' ve stop the car and see if there were any damages with the trans . But , every things seems fine both for Engine and Trans 'til today.

Would anyone please suggest me where is the problem with my Trans? Valve Body , Cylinder , or Govornor.?

How can I wash this problem out? Is it a very hard work or just a DIYwork ?

Welcome for anyone and any comments.

THANK YOU,

Paul
