Just to interject, if you live somewhere that it doesn't snow, then more power to you. The only reason I don't own BMW's instead is this: Saabs are army tanks through snow, BMW's are lawn ornaments in snow. I absolutely love the older BMW 325's in every single respect, including and especially spartan design and build and style, but until someone sells me a decent 88 325IX for around 3 grand, I won't be owning one. Especially since I have never paid more than six or seven hundred dollars for a Saab, and there are constantly a plethora of junked saabs to choose form in jukyards. I don't think i've ever seen a 325 in a Junkyard. Also, I just so happen to know where there's a real live 1983 323i with no US miles on it. It was bought brand new in Germany by a visiting amercan car salesman, driven around europe (about 18K miles), put on the boat for import to the states, and customs lost the paperwork...it has been sitting on his lot rustless since 1984. He can't get paperwork. I often drop by to gawk. Sad.
