then open all the bleaders after dumping fluid from accumulator, Both fronts first then both rears and the head forces all the the fluid out. you will know fluid is out when you get only air. When all the fluid is out Close bleeders, fill reservoir with clean brake fluid and flush same way. Then install DOT 4 apply head and blead individually until solid stream of fluid close bleeder and that wheel is complete. do for all and then you go after the clutch same way except not flush -not necessary usually. Have never found any problem bleading rears and never used pump on MK II or MkIII systems. The above makes certain the accumulator is dumped by pumping brakes until pedal is hard before starting to dump fluid. If using pump during process all old fluid is not removed from system. It takes about two pints to flush and little over three to do everything.
