When I pushed the clutch pedal down to shift, it just stayed down. I can pull it up by hand and it stays up, but will stay flat on floor when I push it down again. I have no clutch action, so I had to park it on the side of the road. There was no warning sign. The clutch has been working normally, then quit all at once. My car is still under warranty, with only 41k miles, but the nearest dealer is in Lompoc, over an hour drive away.
I'm not from this area, so does anyone have any idea what I should do? Is there a indy repair place here in SLO, and if so would Saab possibly come to the party if the work is done by someone other than a dealer. I imagine a tow truck bill to Lompoc would be a whopper.
Also, does this sound like the master, or slave failed, or could it be something else?
Have been missing you guys the past 6 weeks while I was off sailing in Hawaii, and away from my computer, but now I'm getting a good dose of back to reality. Anyway, Aloha, and thanks for any helpful suggestions you may have.
