Let me tell you my situation. I got my 93 9ktcd 2.0 in Hong Kong 1.5 years ago for under USD5,000. It was a car in top shape in appearance. In Hong Kong, they like the B's and Honda. Old SAABs are way under priced.
Ever since I got it, everybody around me urged me to sell it, since it did give me a lot of problems (ABS sensor, battery, handbrake, DI, idle, AC belts, cooling fan switch, mounts, etc.). And money is not really issue here since I can afford a more expensive car.
But I still keep it and I am very happy with it. Through the efforts in maintaining it, repairing it, and keep it in top shape, I feel that I accomplished a lot and learnt a lot about the working of the beautifully designed machine.
My other car is a 95 Miata which never gives problem but it is boring. I know it is hard to believe.
