New Wastegate Problem

Well everybody,I've got a trouble with my old wastegate that it couldn't hold the pressure higher than 10 Psi. So , my mechanics intend me to change the new one but not from a stock part.
First time I see the new wastegate , it's a little bit bigger than the old one and the gates rod is really hard to pull it out. I don't know what turbo this wastegate was brought from. But it can screw in to my turbo.
After setting the gate and going for a test drive with the APC fuses pulling out , the base boost surge very high to about 1.0 bar. So , I stop the car and turn the gate rod out about 5 round and go for the test drive again. But , the base boost still really high at about 0.8 bar. So , I intend my mechanics to full extended out the rods. Now ,the base boost come down but still rather high at 0.6 bar. After that I test the Max boost with the APC control , the problem is when I set the APC fuses back , the Max. boost go only about 0.85 bar (stock base boost 0.4------> 0.9 Max). I think it causes from the stick new waste gate.
I want to know if this new waste gate will cause any harmful to my engines. And to set base boost at 0.6 bar with the max boost at 0.85 bar could confuses the ECU to inject fuel and cause wrong A/F mixture. And finally ,do I need to get a stock waste gate?. Any comments or advice are appreciate. Thank You very much.
Steve.
