'89 9k trunk light switch(es)

Howdy,
Aside from the switch which is integral to the light (mounted on the passenger side trunk wall) itself, is there another switch that cuts power to the light circuit when the trunk lid is closed?
I could swear that at one point, the light went out when the lid was closed, but lately it seems to be on all the time (if the switch on the light is on -- and that switch seems to have two positions only: on and off, not on, off, and on with open lid).
The wiring diagram in the Haynes (Brit) manual shows two switches, as does AllData's online diagram. But neither source mentions the location of the mercury or door switch.
Thanks!
