However, that is where I would start. I have gotten around 32mpg or better on all 4 of my Saabs at 75mph. Well, actually didn't run the 99 that hard as it was a 4spd and 55mph speed limit was in effect, I ran 65-70.
Seems to me you should be getting better mileage, particularly since you did earlier. I would change plugs. I think the O2 sensor can be checked by monitoring the voltage. If borderline or erratic, replace. How is the DI?
My '95CSE went from 32-33mpg to 30-31mpg when I changed plugs, which I attributed to the narrower gap of .9, rather than 1.1mm. The narrower gap has been suggested on this board to preserve the DI. Bum plug or DI could make a pretty dramatic change in economy. To be honest, those are the only factors I've needed to change in 4 Saabs. I should say factors in our current style cars. Just don't need points, condenser, d. cap, wires.....
