Never had problems with it in the car wash, it's the 10-inch rigid kind with the spiral in the base, and it's bendable at the base to lay flat, but never needed to. I don't know if there's a hole in the glass, I've heard that they're sometimes magnetic but never checked on mine. The phone is mounted in a bracket that is connected to the passanger footwell on the side of the center console via an extension arm and a universal joint, so that it can be moved around and pointed at anyone with ease. The speaker is under the carpet, inside the center console, and the microphone is above the driver's sun visor on the left side of the car. I imagine it was quite a bugger of a job to install, esp. the antenna cable.
