I am replacing my 1991 Saab 9000 2.3 (full) turbo (200BHP), manual hatchback (the old style body).

I am looking at at 1994 CSE 2.3 (full) turbo (again 200BHP), automatic (the new stle body). I have a few questions which anyone with a similar car may be able to answer -

My current car has an adjustable steering wheel. The 1994 one does not, apparently because it has an airbag. Did later 9000's have both airbags and and adjustable wheel ? If so when did this happen ?

The automatic seems extremely slow after the manual (much slower than my previous 2.0 turbo with 165BHP). Is this normal, or is there something wrong with this one ?

On my current car, the ABS light comes on for a few seconds when the car is started, then goes off. On this car the light does not come on. Is that normal ?

How does the fuel consumption compare between the manual and automatic ? I get 30-33 (Imperial) MPG from my current car.

If anyone has any other comments on differences between the cars from the two years, or between manual and automatic (especially reliability) I would like to hear them.

If anyone on the list is in Ireland and would like a very nice 1991 2.3 Turbo, let me know.
