A whole load of questions! My 9K is a '93 200bhp CSE without air-bag so I can't answer the first. But as for the rest:

Automatic have less turbo pressure but are not necessarily much slower, especially as all you have to do is use your right foot, rahter than time your gear changes accurately. Personally, Ithink the automatic is a good choice for the big turbo engine. Third and top lock up anyway. You should get 0-60 in say 9 seconds. Maybe there is something else wrong?

I think you should have your ABS checked anyway, on the basis that anything wrong with yout brakes is a BAD THING.

I only get an overall 25-26 mpg (Imperial) on my '93 automatic, but post-93 cars are supposed to be better, and I've never been an economical driver. You would be extremely lucky (or pusillanimous) to average 30-plus in a 200bhp turbo, in my view.

Previous car was a non-turbo automati, 1990, and apart from the ovious perfomance improvement, I find the '93 stiffer and quieter. Wheel arches are bigger so you have more choice of rims/tyres. Some things, like the seating and dash, are just the same which is fine: I have an idea the rear seats are a bit more comfortable, which pay be that the cushion is less flat.
