We are a hopeless group who enjoy expensive dealer services and parts (unless you get mail order parts from the US when going there).
I had a similar problem but much worse and was badly stranded in a Mongkok rush hour. Still get an earful from my wife about this. With the summer coming, I suggest you take efforts to take care of these:
1) Clean the throttle body and AIC (take it out and tap on it gently also) with injector cleaner;
2) check that both fuses (high and low) and relays (two of them) of the cooling fan are ok;
3) Replace the cooling fan switch (on the radiator) unless it was already replaced once;
4) Flush the radiator once and fill up with good quality coolant and distilled water;
5) Make sure the plugs are properly gapped and are of the proper brand.
A SAAB can easily get back on you if you don't take care of it. HK's weather seems to be easy problem-causing for SAABs.
