From an old post (by me :-):
Remove the bottom bin in your center console, reach back to the radio unit (yes you need to reach way up there), feel your hand to a bunch of connectors at the back of the radio head unit (not the CD unit). Try to push/reseat those connectors.
The hard part of this exercise is to ensure you have "fixed", albeit temporarily, the problem. My usual suggestion is to do it when the "buzz/fuzz" is happening, then, with the car idling, pull off the lower storage bin, reach up to the radio unit, wiggle those radio cables, and/or push in those connectors. If luck has it, you "buzz/fuzz" would disappear for a while.
Good luck and let us know if this fixes the problem. I think I should send the fix to Quasi's site for archive.
And yet another post (by me again :-):
You have to realize that many of the complaints about radio picking up ignition noise have been from Aero/CSE owners and with the H/K radio/CD unit. Given the hard suspension for the Aero, it is not surprising to loosen connectors or weak solder joints over time.
The wire-wiggle and reseat connectors fixes are actually quite good. Even if you take the head unit out it is hard to find where the problem is given that you need the car running. The thing is when you take the head unit out, you may have "fixed" the problem already by twisting and wiggling the wires when you take the unit out.
